MEET THREE RIDGE COFFEE

Three Ridge Coffee began with a simple ritual: a good cup of coffee, shared slowly and intentionally.

Founded by husband-and-wife team Chase and Courtney, Three Ridge was born during a season when starting a business may have seemed a little crazy. Chase was, and still is, a full-time firefighter and paramedic. Courtney was home with their three young children. Life was already full, but the idea was bigger than coffee. They wanted to build something that gave their family more freedom to spend time together in wild places they love.

Coffee had always been part of their story. From college coffee dates to quiet mornings before the kids wake up, it became more than a daily drink. It became a way to slow down, connect, and begin the day with intention. These days, their coffee dates look different, mostly because their kids now ask for lattes of their own.

For Three Ridge, coffee is a reminder that connection does not have to be complicated. Sometimes, it starts with a mug in your hands and a quiet moment before the day begins.

A NAME ROOTED IN PLACE

The name Three Ridge Coffee comes from the San Francisco Peaks of Northern Arizona. From the south, three distinct ridges shape the peaks and inspired the name behind the brand.

That sense of place runs through everything they do. Their coffees are named after landscapes that inspire them, and their brand is built around the belief that coffee belongs just as naturally on a mountain morning as it does at the kitchen table.

COFFEE AS A DAILY RITUAL

In a world that moves faster every year, Three Ridge encourages people to reclaim their mornings.

For Chase and Courtney, slow mornings are not always easy to come by. With three kids and a growing business, life moves quickly. Still, they make room for peace when they can. Those quiet mornings give them time to pray, read, reflect, and be together before the day begins.

Whether you are in your kitchen, on a mountainside, or beside a stream, coffee makes the moment feel more intentional. That is the feeling Three Ridge hopes to share: an invitation to pause, reflect, and be present.

ORGANIC, ETHICAL, AND FRESH-ROASTED

Three Ridge is committed to roasting 100% organic coffee. For Chase and Courtney, that choice is personal. As a family, they care about what they put into their bodies. Coffee, they believe, should be no different.

To them, how coffee is grown matters, not only for flavor, but for how it makes you feel.

Freshness is also central to the Three Ridge experience. Many grocery store coffees sit in warehouses or on shelves for months before reaching your cup. Three Ridge focuses on fresh-roasted coffee instead, which is one reason they choose not to pursue retail shelves. Freshness protects the integrity and unique flavor of the coffee itself.

Chase is quick to give credit where it belongs: to the quality of the coffee they source and the farmers behind it.

BUILT FOR THE OUTDOORS

Coffee and the outdoors are inseparable for Three Ridge. A hot cup on a cold camp morning. A quiet pour-over before a long hike. A slow breakfast by the fire with family. These are the moments the brand was built around.

Living in Phoenix gives the Three Ridge family access to trails, public lands, and desert landscapes, but Southern Colorado holds a special place in their hearts for its fast-moving rivers, fishing, camping, and open places.

That love for wild places is why giving back matters. Supporting National Parks and public lands has been part of Three Ridge from the beginning. These shared spaces make outdoor experiences possible, and Three Ridge wants to help preserve them for future generations.

FEATURING BIERSTADT WITH VSSL

The coffee featured with VSSL is Bierstadt, a Colombian single origin medium roast named after Mt. Bierstadt, one of Colorado’s popular 14ers.

The first thing customers can expect is aroma. Fresh-roasted coffee has a clean, soul-filling fragrance that sets it apart. In the cup, Bierstadt is smooth, full-bodied, and low in acidity, with notes of papaya on the front. It has changed the minds of customers who do not usually reach for fruit-forward coffees.

For brewing, Bierstadt shines as a pour-over or French press. Espresso drinkers can also expect it to make a standout Americano.

It is the kind of coffee that feels equally at home in camp, in the kitchen, or packed alongside your Java Grinder for the next morning outside.

A CUP THAT BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER

When asked what he hopes people feel after sharing a cup of Three Ridge Coffee, Chase’s answer is simple: connection.

Connection to the natural beauty around them. Connection to the person they are sharing it with. Connection to the farmers who grew the coffee. Or simply connection to the moment they are in.

Great coffee is more than a drink. It creates space. It slows the morning down. It brings people together. And for Three Ridge Coffee, that is the whole point.
